References to “Cognx”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the registered operator identified in our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookie consent is separate from AI permissions
Accepting cookies does not authorise unrestricted use of your documents, prompts, conversations, or connected business data.
It does not, by itself, permit model training, enable a new connector, expand an agent’s permissions, or authorise disclosure of Customer Content.
Those activities are governed by the applicable Privacy Policy, service agreement, Data Processing Agreement, and authorised platform settings.
Rejecting optional cookies is not a request to delete your account or Customer Content. Likewise, clearing browser storage does not delete information already held in an account, customer workspace, or connected system. Requests concerning that information should be made through the relevant privacy or account procedures.
7. Third-Party Technologies
Some features may use technologies supplied by external providers. Where these technologies are included, the cookie register identifies the provider, purpose, information involved, and applicable duration.
A third-party technology is subject to the relevant consent requirements even where it appears to operate through our own website domain. The identity of the provider and the purpose of the processing matter—not simply whether a browser labels the cookie “first-party” or “third-party”. ICO

8. Cookie Duration and Register
Session cookies generally operate for the duration of a browsing session, although browser restoration settings can affect their persistence.
Persistent cookies remain for a specified period or until removed. Other browser storage may not have an automatic expiry, so its retention must also be addressed. ICO
We determine retention according to the purpose of each technology rather than relying automatically on a provider’s default settings. The lifespan of a cookie is separate from the retention period for information already collected through it. Our Privacy Policy explains the latter.
9. Organisation-Managed and Self-Hosted Deployments
Where your organisation operates Cognx in its own infrastructure, its configuration may determine the cookies, authentication services, and browser storage used within that environment.
Your organisation’s privacy notices and administrative policies may therefore apply alongside this Statement. Contact its administrator for information about organisation-controlled technologies and settings.
This Statement continues to apply to the Cognx-operated website and services you access separately. Customer-managed deployment does not itself establish which external tools or technologies are enabled.
10. Applicable Privacy Requirements
We apply this Statement alongside the privacy and electronic-communications requirements relevant to our activities, including applicable requirements in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
In the UK, storage and access technologies are addressed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside data-protection requirements where personal data is processed. Applicable UAE data-protection requirements must also be considered for processing within their scope. ICO
This Statement does not restrict your statutory rights or replace the information provided in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to This Statement
We may update this Statement to reflect changes in the technologies used, their purposes, our services, or applicable requirements.
The updated version will show a revised effective date. Where a new technology or purpose requires fresh consent, we will request it before beginning that use.
Publishing an updated Statement does not automatically change your existing choices or constitute your agreement to additional tracking.
